College
Chris learned more about himself and what he wanted to do with his life. He started thinking more about his big adventure. He learns that he wants to live a more simple life. -

Journey begins
After Chris graduates college he takes his car and drives as far west as he can. He arrives in Texas and stops there for a very short time. After that he went further west and arrived in Arizona -

Arizona
Chris went to Arizona and stayed there for a decent amount of time. During his stay there was a flash flood which soaked his car engine and he was not able to start it back up. He had to leave it where it was and he attached a note to it saying, whoever pulls it out can have it. -

The Burres
Chris started hitchhiking and a hippy couple picked him up and they quickly had a liking to each other. He didn't stay with them very long but after he left he would send post cards when ever he could. -

Wayne Westerberg
After a little more traveling Chris hitchhikes a ride with a guy named Wayne Westerberg. Chris and Wayne talk for a while and eventually Wayne offers Chris a job at his farm. -

Mexico
Wayne gets in trouble with the law and eventually Chris leaves him. Chris then buys a cheap canoe and canoes down the Colorado river. He sneaks his way into Mexico for a little while. He had a hard time getting back because there was a bunch of swamps blocking his way. -

Back to the U.S.
Chris is caught by the border police but they let him go through anyway. Then he makes his way to Bullhead City. -

Bullhead City
When Chris reaches Bullhead City he decides to settle down for a while. He gets a job at the local McDonald's and rents out a small trailer home. Also during this time Chris reconnects with the Burres and meets back up with them. -

The Slabs
Chris goes to the Slabs with the burres which was an abandon navy air base and stays there for a little but with them and helps Jan with he flea market stand. -

Ronald Franz
Chris continued his hitchhiking and was picked up by Ronald. He was 80 years old and he took a liking to Chris as if he was his own grandson. Taught him how to make the leather belts. -

Jim Gallian
Ronald drops Chris off in Colorado. Then Chris is picked up by Jim. They became friends pretty quick, Jim thought he was different than others. Jim gives him better equipment like his pair of boots and drops him off on the Stampede Trail. -

Reaching the bus
Chris had a log hike to the bus. He found many small game which he shot and ate. He had to cross a river which at the time was very low so it was no big problem. -

Time at Bus
Chris is living his dream and enjoying most of his stay there. He finds small game which he shoots and eats. One day he came across a moose and he killed it, but he wasnt quick enough because the meat rotted and got maggots on it. -

Cant get back
Chris thought it was time to head back but when he reach the river he saw that it was way to strong to cross so he went back and ate so bad potato seeds which made him very sick. -

Death
Chris leaves a note for everybody to see that he needs help but no one comes. He dies
