Qing dynasty overthrowned.
Since october 10th 1911, Sun Yixian began to fight against the dynasty. Sun Yixian and his Sun's Revolutionary Alliance overthrown the last emperor of the Qing dynasty. -
Sun Yixian became president of the new Republic of China
He wanted a government based on nationalism, people's rights and people's livelihood. -
Yuan Shikai became a military dictaror
Sun Yixian gaves the power to Yuan Shikai who betrayed the ideals and became a military dictator. -
Yuan dies.
With the death of Yuan, the chaos on China began. -
China declare war to Germany
China declare war to Germany because they wanted to have the power back. Unfortunately, with the Treaty of Versailles, the Allies leaders gave that power to Japan. -
"Boycott Japan!"
This was what students screamed all thruogh China. They were uncomfortable about the Treaty of Versailles. -
May Fourth Movement
"A national protest in China in 1919, in which people demonstrated against the Treaty of Versailles and foreign interference" -
Intellectuals meet.
Young intellectuals meet in Shanghai and Beijing University to discuss Marxs beliefs. They also viewed the Soviet Union as a model for political and economic change. -
Chinese Communist Party
In Shanghai, group organized the Chinesse Communist Party, which Mao Zedong was one of the founders. -
The Nationalists gain support
Lein send military forces to the nationalist. Various of these party leaders went to Moscow to gain more miliary training. -
Sun Yixian dies
Sun Yixian dies so Chiang Kai-shek was the leader of the Kuomintang. -
War starts
After foughting the warlords, the Nationalist went against the Communists and killed most of their leaders. They almost ended the Chineese Communist Party. -
Chiang Kai.shek became president.
He became the president of the Nationalist Republic of China and was recognized as a new government by some countries except for the Soviet Union. -
Civil War Erupts
Nationalists and Communist were in cvil war. Communist were trained as a guerrilla and couldnt be eulsed by the Nationalists. -
Japan invades Manchuria
Japan took advantage of the civil war on China and invades Manchuria. -

All-out invasion of China
Japan invaded a larga part of China with bombs and killed a lot of Chinese. This was until 1938. -

USA send money for the Nationalist to defeat Japan but isntead that mony went to the corrupts.
They also keep the strenght and some money for the war against the Communist. -
Controls of China
Maos Red Army controlled much of northern China and Chiang Ka.shek controlled southwestern China. -
Mao became president.
He gains control of the country he called People's Repulic of China.
