    Sun Yixian seeks help

    After a failed and disapponting attempt of receiving help from Western democracies, the leader of the Nationalist party, which had set up a government in South China, Sun Yixian decided to ally the Communist Party with the Kuomintang in order to unite all revolutionary actions. He then accepted help from Lenin (USSR), which is why, in exchange for alloqing Chinese communists join the Kuomintang, he received military advisers and equipment from Russia.

He started to prepare a revolution according to Lennin's ideas, which said that a revolution could take place in a large rural country, where peasents would be the true revolutionaries.     Communists forces fled through The Long March, or a 6,000 mile-long journey yo leave the country . Abiut a 100,000 people began the march, but only from 10,000 to 30,000 reached North China, where they were safe from Jiang and his army. Even though they had to retreat, the Communist party gained followers
