Chinese invented a printing called "wood block printing". The printer drew symbols on a piece of paper. Then he glued it to a piece of paper. When the paper dried he cut the the symbols. That leaves the symbol on the block. He would then rub ink on the block. He would then press down on a piece of paper and BAM a symbol was on the paper -
