The Geary Act
The Geary Act was an extension to the Chinese Exclusion act. But it added resturctions by requring each Chinese person to register and abtain a certificate of residenece. Anyone without a certificate they will have serious conquence. -

This was a mass movement of about five million southern black from the north and west. The first large movement occurred during World War I. The great MIgration was one of the largest migration in US history.
