The British and French fought the Chinese and made ports available to the British, French, Russians, and Americans.
From this war, opium trade was made legal in China. -

The Boxer Rebellion was an uprising in China against foreign influence in religion, politics, and trade.
The rebellion disruption caused by the growth of foreign spheres of influence which led to the end of the dynasties. -
