This event had a huge impact on China from 1965 to 1968. It was when Mao tried to instill his beliefs into China. People in the country banded to gether and encouraged eachother to criticise thise who Mao decided were untrustworthy in how Mao wanted the country to be. -

The communist leader of China left the country devastated when he died in 1976. -
Tiananmen Square Massacre
The people wanted a democracy and their peaceful protesting broke out into a massacre that killed thousands.
