Years ago, tea was created by boiling tea leaves in water. What was left from that was used mostly as a medicine. Years later yea became very popular in China and tea stands stated popping up all over the place. Even longer after that, people in England got a great liking to tea. -

In the beginning of China there was war between many states. The Qin army invented the crossbow for long range combat. The bows had tremendous power and the arrows could be reused. MILITARY -

The first compasses were made of a magnetic material known as lodestone. Lodestone floats on water and since Earth is basically a giant magnet, the lodestone would move to point north. TRAVEL -

Paddle Boat
The Chines paddle boat is much like the paddle boats we have now. Instead of sitting down, people would stand on something like a treadmill then, they walk forwards. As the person walks the boat moves forwards as well. This helped them move up or across rivers. TRANSPORTATION -

During the Song dynasty, people in China had the rockets for fireworks for entertainment and to scare away evil spirits. Later someone in the military found that the rockets could be used for war. The rockets were powered by gunpowder, another Chines invention. MILITARY
