  • Guomindang Throws First Punch

    Guomindang attacks communists to try and gain full control.
  • The Long March

    Communists retreated from Guomindang, and headed north to join the red army and have support. From Jiangxi Province, and stretched for 8,000 miles for 370 days. Gave Mao Zedong more influence among peasants.
  • Armistice

    Communists and Guomindang decided to get rid of Japan and temporarily pause the civil war for the sake of China, and finally dispose of Japanese invaders.
  • War Continues

    Communists start to gain upper hand, after having the peasants cooperation, and began pushing Guomindang out of China. With the help of the Soviets.
  • Communism Wins

    Mao pushes the Guomindang out of China and wins the civil war.
