    One of the emporers most respected advisors sent a letter to Queen Victoria about the increased amount of Opium which had effected the Chinese people greatly. He wrote in his letter that the Britisn merchants should not be giving drugs to the Chinese people and since Opiom is illegal in your country, that law should be carried on to other countries.

    War occurs due to Britain not agreeing on trading with Opium with Chinese. Britain has inferior technology and the Chinese loose. The war ends and The Treaty of Nanjing is signed and Britian gains Hong Kong.

    Population of China grew.
  • Open Door System

    Nations keep atacking China and treaties are signed after the fights end. the treaties let the other nations gain power over China. The US then wanted the open door system but they do not want to change.
  • Boxer Rebellion

    Boxer Rebellion begins because people are upset about the foreign priviledges. Boxer start to suround European and keep it under siege but the boxers are defeated
