  • Albino Perez is appionted governor

  • Perez dissolves the municiple council of Santa Cruz.

    Perez mainly dissolved the council on the notion that all of the seven councilmen were related. This caused anger and dismay among the people.
  • Esquibel is arrested

    Juan Jose Esquilbel is arrested for disobeying the governor on legeal issues. However, he will soon be freee again due to a angry mob demanding for his release.
  • The proclamtion

    Esquibel, once freed, created a council called the canton. The proclamation strictly outlined the dissaproval of the departmental pan and imposing taxes.
  • Perez marches north

    Perez soon learned of an armed insurrection taking place in Santa Cruz. He tried to gather men to help him fight the rebels, but few people supported him. He only had 200 men when he marched to Santa Cruz
  • Perez is ambushed and killed

    Perez reached Santa Cruz, but was quickly droven out by 1500- 2000 rebels. He fled to Santa Fe for more support. On the way Perez encouted Indians from Santo Domingo Pueblo. The indians sympathezied with the rebels, and they attacaked Perez. Perez was quickly defeated and decapitated.
  • Gonzales is appionted

    The rebels gathered in Santa Fe where they appionted Jose Gonzales governor, but he would quickly lose support.
  • Gonzales leaves Santa Fe

    Gonzales leaves Santa Fe in order to meet with other rebels. During his absince, another rebellion quickly formed with 1000 men under the command of Manuel Amijo.
  • Pablo Montoya nears Santa Fe

    At the same time of the rebellion, Pablo Montoya, commanding a disorganized 3000 men, come within a leaguue and a half of Santa Fe. Armijo prusades Montoya to a truce with the exchange of the original formenters of the rebellion.
  • Armijo excecutes four prisoners

    Armijo responds to a rebellion threat by killing the four prisoners the rebels were trying to free.
