General Election
Voters elected a President of the Republic, 20 members of the Senate, a full Chamber of Deputies, and a full regional board. Candidates for president were Franco Parisi (Independent), Marcel Claude (Humanist), Ricardo Israel (Regionalist Party of the Independents), Marco Enriquez-Ominami (Progressive), Roxana Miranda (Equality), Michelle Bachelet (Socialist), Evelyn Matthei (IDU),Alfredo Sfeir (Green Ecologist), and Tomas Jocelyn-Holt (Independent). Bachelet won with 62.16% of the vote. -
