When Chernobyl's Nuclear Power Plant Disaster Occurred
Date of Disaster In this image, you can see the aftermath of the disaster that occurred at the nuclaer power plant of Chernobyl. The disaster started in the early morning of Saturday April 26th of 1986 in Ukraine when the nulcaer power plant was testing a new cooling system designed to redude the risk of meltdowns. Which escalted to an explosion and fire relleased large quantitles of radioactive contamination into the atmospere, which spreed over much of Western USSR and Europe. -
