Mendeleev's Periodic Table
Dimitri Mendeleev created an organized table of all the elements with their atomic number, mass, and symbol -
Moseley/Atomic numbers
The atomic numbers were introduced bey Henry Gwyn-Jefferies Moseley, these list the nember of protons in every element. -
Discovey of the Electron
Discovered by J.J. Thomson. This showed that the atom could be split into two smaller parts. -
Beggining of the Spanish American War

Rutherford's Gold Foil Experiment
Ernest Rutherford studied the absorbtion of radioactivity by using small sheets of metal foil and found two components. He found alpha radiation, which is absorbed by a few thousandths of a centimeter of metal foil, and beta radiation, which can pass through 100 times as much foil before it was absorbed. He soon after found gamma radiation which can penetrate several centimeters of lead. -
Dicovery of the Proton
The proton was discoveed by Ernest Rutherford in 1899, this discovery was because of his foil test. -
Plum Pudding Model
The Plum Pudding Model is a model of atomic structure proposed by J.J. Thomson. He discovered that atoms are composite objects made up of positive and negitive charges. He then thought that the structure was similat to a plum pudding with small negitive electrons inside a positively charged substrate. -
Great San Francisco Earthquake
This earthquake was ranked as one of the largest earthquakes of all time. The earthquake was felt from southern Oregon to south of Los Angeles and inland as far as central Nevada. The quake knocked down many buildings and caused alot of destruction. -
Titanic Disaster
Titanic factsFour days into the "unsinkable" ship's maiden voyage the ship takes a sketchy course resulting in it ramming an iceburg and sinking ending many people's lives. -
Bohr's Planetary Model of the Atom
Neils Bohr created an outline/shell of an atom to explain how electrons can have stable orbits around the nucleus. -
World War I
This was the start of the first world war, Conflicts cause a setback in most chemistry beccause it limteed the acces to chemicals and funds. -
Schrodinger Eqation
This Equation explains an decribes quantum mechanical behavior. -

The Great Depression was the longest economic deflation that the United States has ever been through. It was caused by the Market Crash of 1929 -
Discovery of the Neutron
James Chadwick came to the conclusion because he kept finding that the mass was changing with the positive/negative charge. seeing that electrons had no mass, he explored deeper into the atom. -
The Beginning of World War 2
World War Two started in 1939 when the Nazi regime invaded Poland and many other countries in Europe. The Allies: The United States, United Kingdom, Russia, and Australia fought against the Axis: Germany,Japan, and Italy. The war ended in 1945 after the Nazi's were defeated and Japan surrendered.
