  • Chatfield Methodist Church

    Chatfield Methodist Church
    On May 28, 1859 the first version of this church was built. The church is located at the bottom of the hill to Old Territorial Road. The church is fully accessible on either the lower or upper parking lot.Worshiping Service 9:30 am Every Sunday
    Gluten-Free Communion Offered the First Sunday of Every Month.
  • Chatiield fire department

    Chatiield fire department
    Chief is Shane Fox, Floyd Mohok used to be chief. Fire department has been protecting the Chosen Valley area Since 1891. Facts about Chatfield's burning permits when the fire is more than 3 feet high and 3 feet in diameter.
    when the ground is not completely covered by a minimum of 3 inches of snow.
    when the fire is not contained in either an approved burner or in a cooking or heating device such as charcoal grill or camp stove.
  • Okenwald Terrace

    Okenwald Terrace
    Oakenwald Terrace, built by George Haven in 1897 and proudly listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this is one of the grandest homes in South Eastern Minnesota. This smoke free bed and breakfast features library, a lobby fireplace and free breakfast. All rooms and indivually decorated and offer private bathrooms.
  • Chatfield Cenex

    Chatfield Cenex
    Chatfield Inc a private company ran by the city. Gas/Oil station is was back in the 1900's. It has recently been changed to a Cenax after being a local Greenway for years. The Cenex is right across from the city park and is a great spot for kids from the park to get food and snacks.
  • Chatfield Public Libary

    Chatfield Public Libary
    Monica Erickson the director of the library now, The Library was housed with public rest room, was opened to the public on March 9, 1911. Mrs. Medora Morrill, was the “mother of the library” first promoted the idea of a public library in Chatfield.
  • F@M Bank

    F@M Bank
    Community Bank has proudly served the communities of south eastern Minnesota for over 100 years. The F@M bank area had also been apart of the live stock buisness back before the building was put up. F & M Community Bank was organized on March 27, 1911, with Tollef Sanderson as its President. At that time, it was called Farmers and Merchants State Bank of Preston, in 2000 the bank was first organized in Chatfield
  • Tuper's Goose

    Tuper's Goose
    Donated by Mrs. Jennie Bemis Hendricks fixed up the goose after it being not taking care of. The Goose is now a Chatfield statue in the middle of the city park, the flower bed is no longer around the goose. Back in 1913 when the goose was placed in the park there was a women's community club that had watered the bed and tended it.
  • Haven's Wall

    Haven's Wall
    The Havens wall is a Historical wall that started being built back in 1927, this wasn’t any normal wall it has meaning. Each stone has come from either distant places or have some historical significance. Among the stones that were from distant places one was from King Tut’s tomb, another from the beach at the sea of Galilee, one from the Great Wall of China , The wall in all took 37 years to build completely and approximately 245ft long.
  • Laundry Mat

    Laundry Mat
    There was A.O.U.W a Hall over the Locker and Laundry Mat. It was later torn down in the 1930's. The laundry mat is still running well , with plenty of washer and dryers,and used by the public of Chatifeld.
  • St. Mary's Catholic Church

    St. Mary's Catholic Church
    Catholic Church located across from the Chatfield City Park. It is the biggest church in Chatfield. Minnesota is a member of the Holy family Catholic Community. In the year 1956 Fr. Pavoux promoted the church. The Catholic church was built in 1956.
  • Fish and Game Club

    Fish and Game Club
    On February 20, 1942 the fish and game club was organized. The Fish and Game Club is for anyone that owns a firearm or bow, must be signed up before able to shoot
  • Groen Park

    Groen Park
    The City acquired Mill Creek In the early 1980's. Alice Green and her husband put all their savings toward city after they had passed away. Groen Park now has its own park, walking trail, ice rink basketball court, skate park, and a Frisbee Golf.
  • Jacs Bar N Grill

    Jacs Bar N Grill
    Jeff and Candy's bar and grill used to be a post office, upstairs was a set of apartments , and a women's beauty shop downstairs. The Bar and Grill is a great place now for good food and a hangout to go to watch the football games.

    The Chatfield News Office had been bakery. It was Leo's Bakery back before if it was the news office. Pam Bloom works at the office. The News office is now the main connection for news in Chatfield.
  • Sun Shine Foods

    Sun Shine Foods
    Don Lanning owns the company today, the whole area used to be a live stock business Gene Jack owned it. After retiring from the live stock buisness Gene gave the buisness up to the city and it was later constructed into a 3 part building being the F@M bank Skippys and the Post office. Sunshine Foods had recently been a Skippy's but had changed business ownership the business was changed over March 21 2011.
  • Potter Auditoruim

    Potter Auditoruim
    Potter Auditorium was built in 1935 a Auditorium connected to an old elementary school. George Potter was the Founder of this Great Auditorium. Almost 80 years ago to the day after Potter Auditorium was dedicated in downtown Chatfield
  • Dave's Barber Shop

    Dave's Barber Shop
    Now owned by Dave Dudek as a barber shop. In the early times of the barber shop it was an old stop and go gas station. Barber Dave's shop is still going people go to get haircuts their all the time. Before winter Dave also sells real Christmas trees right outside his shop.
  • V.F.W

    V.F.W
    The V.F.W is a place in Chatfield come to relax and communicate its for the Veterans of Foreign Wars. People play games and bingo for entertainment.
  • Shari's Sports Saloon

    Shari's Sports Saloon
    Shari's saloon has a 5 lane bowling ally, Richard Geechy used to own it. The bowling ally is now a place where people come to eat, drink , bowl a few rounds and theres even pool tables set up.
  • Pope and Young

    Pope and Young
    The Pope and Young club museum of bow hunting. Its a museum with a variety of different animal mounts, and interesting past for the Pope and Young.
