The cavalry made it to Virginia and search for Booth -
Booth is shot and killed
Booth is in the Garrett's barn. The soldiers send in an innocent civilian to get Booth's weapons. It doesn't work. Finally the soldiers set fire to the barn. Boston Corbett watched Booth threw a gap in the barn. The sergeant drew his pistol. He poked his revolver through the gap. He fired. Booth was shot in the neck and eventually died.
