Mr. Arable was about to kill Wilbur because he was the runt; however, Fern adopts Wilbur and takes care of him. Wilbur is feeling happy and relieved

Fern keeps Wilbur on her Uncle Zuckerman's farm

Wilbur was brought to the Zuckerman farm. He is feeling very lonley because he does not know any of the animals and has no friends.

Wilbur meets a spider named Charlottes

Wilbur and Charlotte become best friends. Wilbur is feeling excited and thankful to have a friend.

Wilbur finds out that the Zuckermans' are planning to kill him

The animals overhear the Zuckermans' talking about how they are going to kill Wilbur and eat him for Christmas dinner. Wilbur is feeling terrified that he is going to die.

Charlotte makes a plan

Charlottes comes up with a plan to save Wilbur. She will use her web to write "Some Pig" so that everyone in the town will think Wilbur is a magical pig. Wilbur is feeling hopeful that his life will be saved.

Wilbur becomes famous in the town

The Zuckermans' think will be an amazing pig. People from all over the town are coming to see the web and Wilbur. Wilbur feels proud and radiant that he is famous.

Wilbur goes to the fair

Mr. Zuckerman brings Wilbur to the fair to show him off. Charlotte stays back to lay her eggs. Wilbur is sad and scared that Charlotte is not with him.

Charlotte dies

At the end of the story Charlotte has her babies and dies. Wilbur is upset that he lost his best friend but happy he got to know such an amazing spider.
