Darwin's school life
When Darwin was in school,[Shrewsbury school for boys] he was very bright in many subjects but had especially had a passion for science and this is shown/proven as he had made a science lab in his dad's shed when he was 13. -
Teenage Troubles
When Darwin was 19, his father forced him to become a doctor in Cambridge University as his male family members were doctors. But Charles hated it as the exams were very hard he was always confused with the work and the teachers there were strict and he could not stand the sight of blood. So his father decided to enroll him in Edinburgh University to become a vicar but even though he had passed all of his exams, he still hated it. -
The Voyage
In 1831, he received an invite to board the HMS Beagle from John S Henslow. Although he had enjoyed it, he still was a bit annoyed as he had seasickness. When he was on the Voyage, he had discovered the Galapagos Island in Argentina he had also discovered animals for example: red and blue- footed booby, finches, Galapagos tortoise and the Galapagos crab. -
Book published
In 1859, he published a book called The Origin Of Species which surprisingly got a lot of good feedback. But it would not be possible if a man named Alfred Russel Wallace convinced him to publish the book. The reason Darwin was a bit hesitant as many people would be angry as many people thought that God created the world. -
