The Survey Adventure
Charles Darwin went on a trip across the coastline of South America. Hs main purpose of the trip was only to survey and chart its harbors to put together better maps of the region. On this trip Darwin spent time collecting samples of plants, animals, rocks, and fossils. He packed all the specimens into crates and sent them off to Europe. -
The return
One Charles Darwin returned to England, his study continued. Groundbreaking scientific discoveries were made. Darwin's analysis the plants and animal samples he collected led him to question how species form and change overtime. This led him into the work which convinced him of the insight of natural selection. -

Darwin published his thoughts about evolution and natural selection in, On the Origin of Species. -
