    Charles Robert Darwin was born February 12, 1809, in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, England. He was the fifth of six children of wealthy society doctor and financier Robert Darwin and Susannah Darwin.

  • Charles Darwin's Death

    Charles Darwin passed away April 19,1882 at his home, Down House, at the age of 73. Darwin was diagnosed with heart disease, and it is assumed that he passed away because of a heart attack. In recent years, some physicians believe that Darwin passed away from a tropical parasitic illness called Chagas disease. A disease that couldn't be identified in his time and not tested for it, but physicians came with that diagnosis based on his symptoms.
