Early life
Darwin was born in Shrewsbury, England. He was the second youngest of six kids. His father Dr. R.W. Darwin was a medical doctor and his mother died when he was eight.

Education
At the age of 16 Darwin enrolled in University of Edinburgh. Two years later he went to Christ's College in Cambridge where he graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in 1831.

Evolution by Natural Selection
Between 1836 and 1842, Darwin developed the theory of natural selection. Which states that individuals of a species are more likely to survive in their environment and pass on their genes.

Origin of Species
After years of investigation Darwin publicly introduced in a letter at the Linnean Society.
