  • Darwin Boarded the HMS Beagle

In 1831 at the age of 22 years old Charles Darwin boarded the HMS Beagle to survey the coastline around the world to make better maps of the regions. While doing so Darwin made many observations and even hands-on experiments of the many species of plants and animals he saw. During this time Darwin had also sent home samples of his finding and documented his work. Darwin had created a way to properly account for the design of organisms scientifically.
  • Darwin Returned to England

Darwin returned to England after his five year voyage and got right to work. Darwin had created his own theory of evolution. He did not use the word evolution at this time, but instead he used the term domestication. Darwin believed that species that were unable to evolve had died off. And species that evolved were able to reproduce and thrive. Darwin noticed the similarities among the many species and this lead him to believe that all species have gradually evolved from common ancestors.
  • Darwin's Published Theory

Darwin published a detailed explanation of his theory "Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection, or the Preservation of Favored Races in the Struggle for Life". Darwin displayed that nature its self is governed by natural laws. Darwin's discovery had brought the adaptations of organisms into the world of science. His discoveries also answered many questions and gaps. He also opened many doors for other naturalist of his time to explore. His book was both popular and controversial.
  • Darwin the Scientific Revolution

Darwin was regarded as a Scientific Revolution who had transformed the study of the natural world. This was determined ten years after his work had been published. Darwin's views were largely accepted throughout the International Science Community. He is still today remembered as the father of evolution. Within a 15 year time spam Darwin had changed the worlds view of how the world works and was able to sustain and convince the science community with his work.
