    Speech at for the Geological Society of London
    Darwin's claims of the South American landmass slowly rising and sparked the exploration of bird species. He talked to the natives of the Galapagos Islands and put together a study about finches being one species but different from island to island. During his speech with all of the geology experts he concluded that the slow changed in land masses can relate to the variation in animal species.

    While aboard the Beagle, Darwin wrote three volumes based on geology and was working on a study of barnacles. This medal gave him the confidence he needed as an esteemed biologist. He revisited his work on the theories of species in 1854.

    Darwin created a paper on his views of evolution that was read at the Linnean Society in London, this paper touched on the tendencies of species forming varieties by means of natural selection. Darwin was working on a book on this topic but condensed it due to his inability to finish it in a timely manner due to personal health concerns.
