Charles Robert Darwin was born at Mount Shropshire, in England on February 12, 1809, to Robert and Sannah Darwinas their fifth child. Charles grew up in the same town he was born till he was sent to Shrewsbury school at the age of 9.

Charles attended Shrewsbury school as a boarder for 7 years as he described the school to be 'narrow and classical'.

After seven years at Shrewsbury School Charles was removed for being deemed unsuccessful, that late autumn he was sent to attend Edinburgh University alongside his brother Erasmus to study the field of medicine.

In 1827 Charles left Edinburgh University without a degree and entered into Christ's College Cambridge.

Charles Darwin stated in his best-selling book 'The Origin of Species" that evolution must be gradual with no major breaks or discontinuities. He explained that the foundation of evolution was natural selection.

On Christmas Charles, suffered from a heart attack followed by seizures, Darwin dies, and was later buried in Westminster Abbey.
