Charles Darwin was born on February 12, 1809 in Shrewsbury, England to the parents of Robert Waring Darwin and Susannah Wedgewood. His father was a successful physician and his mother had died when Charles was only eight years old. On April 10, 1816 we established a national bank. This would allow us to spend money evenly among the states and country. Starting a career
In October of 1825 Charles went to Scotland to begin his career. Charles began the study of geology at Edinburgh University. Travels to Wales
In 1829 Charles Darwin collects insects with an entomologist Frederick William Hope. They collected beetles in particular which helped Darwin understand species. Began Reading Travel Book
In the winter of 1830-31 Darwin began reading a travel book "A personal narrative of travels to the equinoctial regions of America during the years of 1790-1804" by Baron Alexander. This book inspired Charles to take his own journey which he did. Began his Voyage

Home from the Voyage
On October 2,1836 Charles Darwin arrived back to England from his voyage after 5 years. Darwin had begun putting together all his research to begin analyzing his findings. On November 24, 1859 Charles Darwin published his book "The Power of Movement in Plants". His book sums up all his research he found on his voyage and proposed it into a theory. In November of 1864 Charles Darwin was awarded the Copley Medal of the Royal Society of London. Due to Charles's great scientific achievements he was able to receive this award.
