    Charles mother died in 1818, to later be cared for by his 3 elder sisters. At the time he was only 8 years old. His fascination with science began early being son to a renowned doctor. It went as far as to get condemned by the headmaster of his school due to science being considered dehumanizing in the time period. Later his interests would be sparked and put to the ultimate test.

    At the age of 16 his father decided to enroll his gifted son into Edinburgh University to study medicine. During his time there he was exposed to Continental sciences. This benefited his growth as a scientists since he wasn't limited to the church's way of thinking. This is also where Darwin would go on to meet Robert Edmond Grant (a disciple of Jean-Baptiste Lamarck) and become mentored by him. Thus, leading Charles down the path of zoology.

    Darwin now being 22 is about to start a journey of his own interests. Officially being offered in 1831 to join the HMS Beagle Voyage. Originally unable to go due to his fathers rejection, but thanks to his uncle's approval was able to change his mind. In the voyage timespan Darwin was solitary in his ventures.     On this month this is officially when Charles Darwin joins Captain Fitzroy aboard the HMS Beagle. This voyage would go on to be 5 years in length. Allowing Darwin to travel the world, witness different cultures, and study life he couldn't study at the university.

This book sparking the debate on which explanation of evolution is true. Immediately making this book a best-seller almost overnight. Many did not approve of his writing. In fact, a previous professor of his stated he read his finding with "More pain than pleasure". Finally, introducing the still used term "Natural Selection".

    If you think his first book made some heads roll, just wait. His second book then published, "The Descent of Man'. This book diving into the evolution of humans and our sexual selection. His studies and beliefs lead to society to view him as a joke in some aspects. Being a topic for satire in the way the media portrayed him all because of his theory relating the evolution of man stemming from prime apes. The scientific community applauded his finding and many colleagues appreciated it.

    The lead up to this publication was long awaited. His initial discovery of these carnivorous plants fascinated Darwin. Simply astounded by the ability of these plants to prey on insects and digest food similar to the ways animals did. So, after 16 years of discovering this plant he published "Insectivorous Plants". After having other scientists assist in his experiments and ordering further plants for experimentation he was able to get a full understanding of these devilish plant creatures.

His daughter tasked with finding out how worms come out of the ground. Trying to understand everything he could about these underground creatures. After getting all the information needed he published his last book, "The Formation of Vegetable Mould through the Actions of Worms".
