Darwins seed test
Darwin conducted a series of tests to see if seeds could survive salt water transportation to other islands. Conceived his theory of natural selection.
Charles Darwin had recently returned from traveling abroad and with his new found experiences of the world came up with his theory of "natural selection". Awarded Copley Medal of the Royal Society
Darwin was award the Copley medal of the Royal Society of London, its highest scientific honor. This was a big moment for him, essentially validating all his hard work when his theory of evolution wasn't wildly accepted initially. -
