  • Darwin's Finches

After years of study Darwin proposed a theory that over time species evolve by acting on the group. His research suggested that some variations allow one group to have more offspring and a higher reproductive success than others. in time traits that are selected against will not make it to the next generation. On his voyage, Darwin discovered 12 species of finches and each of them had a unique beak/body structure that suggested adaptations to different food sources and various habitats.
