Charles Darwin joins the "HMS Beagle Voyage" as a Naturalists
Charles Darwin had recently graduated College with his Bachelors in Arts in 1831 when his mentor John Henslow recommended that he take a voyage on the HMS Beagle. The voyage was a total of fives years and Darwin used this voyage to collect a variety of natural specimens, including birds, plants and fossils for research. This was a very monumental start to his contribution to science as this would be the beginning of his revolutionary theory or Darwinism.

Science Community takes notice to Darwin
Between the years of 1838-1841 Darwin is elected to multiple committee positions within the science community. According to Life of Charles Darwin, Darwin published one of his first documents titled, "Journal of Researches" and was received high praise for the publication. The science community takes notice to his findings from the Voyage of the Beagle and is asked for a contribution to a colleagues manual of scientific inquiry. Darwin is awarded the Wollaston Medal of Geological Society. -
Charles Darwin & the "Origin of Species"
The publishing of the Origin of Species changed the conversation in regards to theorizing evolution. Darwins outlook on evolution or natural selection is highlighted in his book which states successfully adapted or evolved to meet the changing requirements of their natural habitat thrived and reproduced, "while those species that failed to evolve and reproduce died off." (Charles Darwin Biography) This would baffle a lot of scientist and non-scientist alike but start a larger conversation. -
"Concept of Natural Selection"
You can not talk science and not mentioning Charles Darwin. The concept of natural selection explains how things within an adaptable society that are beneficial. One would think that its more so who and what is superior, however with Darwins outlook this is not necessarily consistent with his views.
