    The early years of Charles Darwin
    Charles Darwin was born 1802 in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, England. He was an english naturalist whose scientific theory on evolution became the foundation of modern evolutionary studies. His non religious approach caught the eye of fellow profession scientist and by the time of his death his evolutionary imagery had spread through all of science, literature and politics.

    Charles Darwin struggled to stay in one college as their interest and methods weren't in line with his but ultimately he graduated 10th place at Christ’s College, Cambridge. He was now considered a ‘Gentleman Naturalist' and set off on his South American Journey aboard the HMS Beagle.

    HMS Beagle
    From December 27th 1831 to October 1836 Charles Darwin along with fellow British scientist Robert Fitzroy set out on a voyage of South America aboard the rebuilt HMS Beagle. It was during this voyage that Darwin wrote his 770 page diary which later became his first publication called “ Journal of researches into the Geology and natural history of the various countries visited by H.M.S. Beagle (1839)”. The diary explains his theory on evolution based on the fossils found during their voyage.

    Charles Darwin suffered from Angina, he looked forward to joining the worms, saying “down graveyard as the sweetest place on earth”. In March of 1882 he suffered a seizure which would ultimately lead to his death on April 19th 1882.
