Filling the Regiment

The Surgeon and Adjutant
Three more companies were mustered in and orders were recieved to arm, equip, pay, and dress the mustered men. They will leave for Annapolis Maryland on Monday. The surgeon and adjutant has arrived, but no quartermaster.

Sharpshooters
Rebel sharpshooters and skirmishers have been pounding the camp with bullets. His soldiers have fired shells back towards them but the rebels keep pushing on.

The Entrenches
Cummings and his battalion was ordered to move forward from their position in the woods. On the skirmish line, one man was shot dead with seven wounded. Two were mortally wounded and did not make it through the night.
