It protected the people aginst the goverment makeing them follow rules & it gives them the chance to abide by rules that make sence. -
English Bill of Rights
After years of revolt and turmoil, Parliament offerd the crown to William and Mary of orange. To prevent abuse of power. Prohibited a standing army in peace time, except with the consent of parliament. -
New Jersey Plan
The New Jersey Plan was designed to protect the security and power of the small states by limiting each state to one vote in Congress, as under the Articles of Confederation. Its acceptance would have doomed plans for a strong national government and minimally altered the Articles of Confederation. -
Boston Massacre
The Boston Massacre the killing of five men by British soldiers on March 5, 1770 was the result of tensions that had been growing between the colonist and the English troops since the troops first appeared in Massachusetts in October 1768. -
Boston Tea Party
The Boston Tea Party of December 16 1773 took place when a group of Massachusetts Patriots protesting the monopoly on American tea importation recently granted by Parliament to the East India Company seized 342 chests of tea in a midnight raid on three tea ships and threw them into the harbor. -

Know as the shot heard around the world. Then the revolution had began it all started over the decleration of rights. The battle of Lexington had been fought 3 weeks earlyer. -
Albany Plan of union
In 1775 the British board of trade called a meeting of seven of the northern colonies at Albany. The main purpose of the meeting was to dicuss the problem of colonial trade and the danger of attacks by the french and their Native American alies. -
Decleration of Independence

Richard Henry Lee's resoultion that led to the Deleration of Independence. It established a firm leauge of friendship among the States. Each state kept it's.. Sovereignty, freedom and Independence.. and every power. -

No state had more to do with the callinbg of the convention than Virginia. A new constitution, a new goverment with three different forms of goverment.
