1 Year from now
I want to have taken and passed the PET and be enjoying my time in college. I think it is important to take the time available to me and explore the different grade levels in order to decide what grade I want to teach in the future. I'm hoping by this time next year I will have spent more time volunteering in the future. -
2 Years from now
I will be graduating from college and getting a job. I want to work at a title 1 school because I think that is where teachers are needed. On a personal level florida offers to help pay student loans if you stay at a title 1 school for 5 years. -
5 years from now
In five years I want to be living on my own and hope to have a good control on my classroom days. I know that the first year is supposed to be tough but at this time I want to be for the most part on top of things. I will have my classroom management down pat and I will learn how to adjust to the students in my class. -
10 years from now
By this point, I do hope to be a principal. After working on my bachelors and getting a job as a teacher I will start working towards my masters degree and then my doctoral. I want to be as well versed in leadership before actually taking the ideals and applying them in real life. Unfortunate side note is that I will probably still be working at Publix to help pay off my student loans from that. -
In the end
I'll have quit Publix and I will hopefully have been a principal for quite some time. I want to be like my mom who cleaned up schools and were able to make them more a part of the community than before she had stepped foot onto the campus. I want to be a leader in the community like her. After retirement I don't just want to sit and do nothing. My hope is that I can work with a nonprofit for children and continue to change the world one child at a time.
