    his goal was to improve the way students were taught. He created a textbook and later on created the first-ever picture book. This picture book was used for years.

    He believed that through education a child learns socialization, or what is needed to be an appropriate member of society. Locke advocated thinking of a child's mind as a Tabula Rosa or blank slate, and whatever comes into the child's mind comes from the environment. He believed all children were equal.

    jean believed that all kids were born with abilities and skills that would eventually grow and develop stronger. as they get older

    he advanced the education for low-income students. He encouraged teachers to try to enhance the strengths that the students already have. He said teaching methods should flow from familiar to new and its easier for kids to learnt that way.

    Robert Owen thinks teaching should be organized around the child's interest. When teaching it should be centered and taught around playing and active learning. He also prohibited kids under 10 from working.

    Opened his own school and at this school him and his friends formed a teaching group and they would teach things the way he though twas the most helpful compared to the flaws he found during his schooling.

    German was the first country to have kindergarten. Kindergarten has gone through many social changes throughout the years. At first it was for poor students and then it went to be led by churches. The kindergarten we know today is the first grade that students enter when they go to school to help them become more independent and prepared for the following grades.

    nursery school is the year before kindergarten starts. These are the years the kids are developing the most and very important. This is where your kid will learn the basic skills needed for the rest of there school years.

    high scope focuses on teaching the kids stuff they're good at. this helps the teachers focus on what the kids truly need to learn.

    DAP means developmentally appropriate practice. this means kids are learning at a pace of there age. for example, you wouldn't have 2nd graders trying to learn how to do algebra.

    the main law for K–12 general education in the United States from 2002–2015. The law held schools accountable for how kids learned and achieved. Schools get rewarded for having a high accumulative average for grades and schools with a low are penalized.
