French and Indian War
After France's expansion into the Ohio River valley conflicts quickly arose between the France and Britain over claims of the British colonies.The French and the English officially declared war May of 1756 in what is known today in America as the French and Indian War. The British won this battle.

Treaty of Paris 1763
After many years of war in 1763, the Seven Years' War also known as the French and Indian War ended with the signing of the Treaty of Paris. The British gained control over the area west of the 13 British Colonies all the way up to the Mississippi River.

The Boston Tea Party

Declaration of Independence
On July 4, 1776 the Declaration of Independence was written as a formal statement for the British America colonies to gain Independence from Great Britain.

Treaty of Paris 1783
The Americans went to war with the British for Independence between 1775-83 and in 1783 officially won the Revolutionary war and gained Independence from Great Britain with the signed Treaty of Paris 1783.

War of 1812
The U.S. fought Great Britain in 1812 due to British attempts to restrict American trade and the United State's desire to expand their territory. The U.S. took the victory and celebrate the War of 1812 as a second war or independence from Great Britain.
