What the tournament is about
The idea of the competition was suggested as usually by the French. Gabriel Anno, a former player of the national team and afterwards an editor of the French weekly sport newspaper “L’equipe” was outraged by the statement of a British newspaper. Anno decided to arrange a tournament which could reveal the strongest club of Europe.(1955) -
