    -Ms. Finch's nephew, Mr. Robert Finch ignores wishes
    -Isabel argues with Mr. Finch but no luck
    -travel by boat from RI to NYC
    -Mr. Finch sells Isabel and Ruth in Newport, RI

  • Chapters 5-6

    Isabel meets Curzon when they dock in New York
    Curzon gives Isabel a tour of the town

  • Chapters 7- 8

    Isabel and Ruth are introduced into the Locktons house
    Isabel's little sister, Ruth, becomes the madam's personal servant

  • Chapters 9-10

    against her will, Isabel changes her name to Sal Lockton. She overhears the Locktons and their friends talking about being loyal to the king.
    Ruth was beat by the madam. Isabel snuck out of the house to talk to curzon late at night. Curzon asks Isabel to spy on the Locktons because of suspicion of being loyalists. Tells Curzon about Locktons chest & bribery

  • Chapters 11-13

    Isabel does chores around the house when Bellingham comes to the Locktons door and ask for them to donate lead for ammunition. master lockton disagrees and gets put into custody. Isabel goes to Lady Seymor's house and talks to her. (Locktons aunt) Lady Seymor is nice and gives Isabel cookies. Mr. Lockton comes back from jail. Madam wats to leave to Charleston, SC and they fight. Isabel talks to Curzon and goes home Storm starts to brew

  • Chapters 14-16

    Isabel overheard Lockton and his buddies speak out about assassinating George Washington. Isabel realizes that the Locktons dont care if she hears or not. Ruth gets a Seizure. Madam thinks she is possessed by a demon. Madam wants to sell Ruth but Lockton strangly decliness. Isabel steals the list that has the names of everybody in on the plan to kill George Washington. She gives the list to Colonel Regan, who tells her to put it back

  • Chapters 17-19

    Lockton spends too much time at the Mayors house. Lockton runs away when the townsfolk find out about the plan of George Washington's assassination Thomas Hickey gets hanged. The British come on ships to New York. Madam is excided while Isabel wants to get herself and Ruth outta there

  • Chapters 20-21

    Isabel sneaks milk and treats and starts to read Robinson Crusoe after she went to the market.
    page 128 - 129 Isabel is in a dream. Becky woke her up and said that Ruth was sold. Ruth was sold to the West Indies. Isabel found out that it's wrong and asks Madam where she was. Madam threatened to Hang her. Isabel goes to Col. Regan.

  • Chapters 22-25

    Isabel is in jail. she lost her teeth and was beat. tried in coart, they dont sentince her to death.
    page 148 Isabel gets branded with an I on her face, I stands for insolence. Lady seymore takes care of Isabel until she is well and able and takes her back to the Locktons. Isabel is suffering the side affects of a concussion

  • Chapters 26-28

    Madam is mad at isabel, wont look at her, all orders go through becky. Curzon comes and asks isabel to continue spying. Isabel feels betrayed and says she never wants to see Curzon again. Isabel still having cuncussion side effects. Isabel goes to fetch water. She talks with other slaves who are debating which sides they should join and which one would give them freedom. An old man tells isabel to find her river jordan. Isabel is debating whether she should join the British for freedom.

    Isabel tries to run away and join the british

  • Chapters 30-33

    British are staying in the Locktons house. Isabel is sent to go to lady seymores house to help with the hessian soldiers. Lady seymore's house and churches and buildings are on fire. Isabel saves Lady Seymore's life. Talks briefly about Nathan hale, recovers from fire British Capture American soldiers and Curzon is in jail.
    "When i had low thoughts like that Curzon's voice would call from my remembery and tell me to join him, to be a rebel"

  • Chapters 34-37

    Isabel was a waiter at the Locktons party. Isabel creates plan to get Curzon out.
    "The rebels plant the seeds of war, let them enjoy the harvest" Isabel visits Curzon in jail. Curzon's friend's face blew off in war. Lady Seymore is sick. Isabel gets an important note Lady Seymore was feeling bettter, Isabel goes to get water so she can see Curzon. Curzon was sick and wasnt getting treated well. Isabel wants him to get treated right so she is doing arrands for the wardens

  • Chapters 38-40

    Isabel is caught bringing stuff to the jail. Madam threatens Isabel. "Madam will go one way or another, and Elihu will be in England. That day you should fear." Isabel gets news that Washington beat the Brits in Trenton

  • Chapters 40-43

    Isabel visits the prison. She gets offered a job of cleaning the cells. Sarah has a baby named george. Lady Seymore has a talk with Isabel saying that she wants to buy her and has wanted to buy her for a while. Isabel learns about a ball. Mary says she has spotted the queen before. Lady seymore has a seizure. Madam angry!! Isabel visits the prison and Madam found out

  • Chapters 43-45

    Isabel pisses madam off by throwing a rebel note in the fire. she gets locked in the potato bin and finds her freedom note. Lady Seymore is dying and tells isabel to run. Isabel rescues Curzon. Isabel puts Curzon in a boat and they row to New Jersey.
