The British and their colonies fought the French and their Native American allies. They had many wars and had many treaties that were practically useless. Both the British and the French control lots of the land in North America. The relationship between the British and the colonies were also strained. -
The British Colonies Expanded
During this year, there are 1.5 million people in the colonies and there were 70,000 French. The colonists took more Native American lands. The British treated the Native Americans harshly and the French treated them well. The French prevented any more expansion by building forts. -
The Native Americans
The Native Americans mostly supported the French. The British and the French gave the Natives many goods and weapons to get them on their side.
