The Court appointed my great-grandma as my legal guardian. -
At 9 years old, I developed appendicitis which led to an appendectomy. Complications, like peritonitis, led to my hospitalization at Rady's Children's Hospital. My mom (great-grandmother) could not drive, therefore, the nurses played a vital role in my childhood. -
Complications from the appendectomy led me to be hospitalized for 1 month.

Covid brought a lot of change as we settled into a new world. I worked remotely and was getting serious with a match on Bumble. Contrary to the CDC's advice, we met in person and were glued to the hip. -
Bumble gave birth to a beautiful, rewarding, yet stressful relationship.

Chad, my boyfriend, was a current nursing student at Palomar College. He listened to my appendectomy story and how the nurses impacted my life and asked if I ever thought about being a nurse. The rest was history.
