Robert Hooke of the cell theory
When Hooke viewed a thin cut of cork he discovered spaces contained by walls and called them cells. The name cells stayed and Hooke gained the credit for discovering the building blocks of all life he also calculated the number of cells in a cubic inch which was 1,259,712,000 and he couldn't get the full effect of his discovery.
