  • Assassination of Franz Ferdinand

    Some student decided to kill Archduke Franz, and basically caused the entirety of World War I.

  • Austria Declares War on Serbina

    The Austrian government blamed Serbia for the assassination, so they declared war on Serbia. Then, Germany also did so, thinking Russia wouldn't. Russia did and convinced France to do so as well.

    Germany Declares War on Russia and France

    Due to supporting opposite sides of a war, Germany decided to declare war on their indirect enemies, Russia and France.

  • Britain Declares War on Germany

    Britain wanted Germany to pull out of Belgium, but they said no. Britain decided that's enough to declare war on them.

  • Japan Declares War on Germany

    Japan has an alliance with Great Britain, so they help em out against Germany.

  • Turkey Joins the War

    Turkey joins the Central Alliance and helps Germany against Russia and stuff.

    Russia, Britain, and France Declare War on Turkey

    Those three declared war on Turkey because they helped Germany, their enemy.

  • Dardenelles

    Basically Britain attacks Turkey on the behalf of Russia.

    Romania joined the war with the Allies, but was soon occupied by Germany and Austria.

    A battle that lasted months with no real winner. Over 60k men died on the British side just on the first day. British used some tanks here but they didn't do much.

  • America Declares War on Germany

    Basically German U Boats took down some American ships and they got angry and declared war on them.

    Russia signed a treaty with Germany that was harsh to them but let them get out of World War I.
