Pancho Villa raids Columbus Nex Mexico
Pancho Villa and 400 of his troops arrived at Columbus, New Mexico primary to attack the town; home of Samuel Ravel, a man whom Villa had given money to buy weapons to. Several Americans were killed in the raid, Pres. Wilson ordered U.S. Army to look for Villa. -
Sussex Pledge
Promise to change the Naval Warfare Policy by Germany to the U.S. Germany allowed armed merchant ships but not passanger ships, to be torpedoed without warning. Pres. Wilson declared that if Germany were to continue this practice, the U.S. would then declare war. -
