Mier y Teran Report
Mier y Teran spent 2 months visiting Anglo Americans because of the Fredonian Rebellion. He suggested the Mexican government should send more troops, get more European and Mexican settlers in Texas, and encourage more trade with Mexico. -

Anahuac
Mexico sent troops and built garrisons into Anahuac. The leadership caused settlers to get angry and escalated into a fight. -
Election of Santa Anna
Texans supported Santa Anna because they believed he would support the Constitution of 1824. -
Turtle Bayou Resolutions
When Anglo Americans started to oppose the Mexican Rule. -
Convention of 1832
SFA was named the president of this convention. All settlements represented except for San Antonio. The most important change was to be a separate state. -
Convention of 1833
Sam Houstin was named the president of the Convention. Tejanos agree with the list and SFA takes the list to Mexico City. -
Arrest of Stephen F. Austin
After waiting months to meet up with Santa Anna, SFA sent a letter to Texas to start organizing a state government. Santa Anna meets SFA and agrees to some demands, but not to be a separate state. Stephen F. Austin is arrested because they thought he was rebelling against Mexican rule. -
The Consultation
Cos is sent to Texas with more troops. Travis is arrested for protesting this. A meeting is called to discuss a war.
