Treaty of Paris is Signed
The French and Indian War ends. The colonists war made to pay more taxes to compensate for the damages that happened during the war. -
Proclamation of 1763
Effort to retain conflict between colonists and natives which made the English mad because the king was not focusing as much as on his own country as in other colonies. -
Sugar Act
Higher taxes were imposed which the English people could not afford. -
Currency Act of 1764
The ruler controled the banking system which msde the English people feel like they lost their privacy. -
Quartering Act of 1765
This was unfair for the english because they could barely afford shelter, food, clothing, and supplies for themselfs much less for the soldiers. This made them very mad. -
Stamp Act of 1765
There was taxes on all things involving paper. That would include newspaper, paper, legal documents, and even contracts. Who would not get mad? -
Townshed Acts
This taxed the colonists and patriots on paint, glass, lead, and paper. -
Boston Massacre
Patriot mob attacked British Soldiers. The mob threw snowballs and rocks on the soldiers while spitting on them and spitting dirty words. 3 patriots died immediatly while 8 were injured. Later 2 injured people also died from their wounds. That would make 5 pariots killed total. -
Intolerable Acts
This closed Boston harbor until the tea that was dumped during the Boston Tea Party was repaid. (Note that this coud not happen because if no ships were coming in or out there would be no funds to pay for this.) -

These were the battles called "the shot heard around the World". This was because these were the first battle during the Revolutionary War. -

At this meeting the createdthe Contiental Army had made Geoge Washington the Army leader.
