End of the French Indian War
War with the Idians and the French had been going on for about 9 years or so. The Treaty of Paris eneded it (Treaty of Paris being a treaty to bring peace between the Indians and the Frenchso that Britain could get land) -
Proclamation
It shut off 2/3 of the land mass of America to not explore. It was presented to help calm the Indians down sense the Indians thought that the Colonists would drive them westward while they expand. -
Sugar Act
Sense the Sugar and Molasses Act was about to expire they passed the sugar act which put a tax on sugar. With the Sugar and Molasses Act people were cheating the Royal Government and weren't truly payig much tax. With the Sugar Act it made it hard to get around the system and not pay your taxes as much on sugar. -
Currency Act
The Colonists got tired of sharing the same money as England so they passed an Act on their own saying that they had their own money instead of pounds and what not. -
Stamp Act
The British put a tax on any piece of paper or anything involving with paper. -
Quartering Act
It provided living quarters for the military act and was passed for the military. -
Declatory Act
Passed for securing the dependency of the Royal Majesty's dominion in America upon the Royal Crown and Parliament of Great Britain. -
Boston Massacre
A "patriot" mob threw snowballs, sticks, and stones at a squad of British military forces. About 50 people were in the mob. They attacked the first squad, and the leader of that squad called in for back up. The back up ended up getting stuff thrown at them too. They shot and killed 3 on site. They wounded 8 total and 2 died later in the hospital. -
Tea Act
This was the final match to the gasoline to start off the Revolutionary War.
