The Proclamation of 1763 was issued by King George III and was after the French and Indian war. It was that the British could tax the colonists without representation and that colonists could not settle near the Appalachian Mountains. Colonists who were already settled there were forced to give up their land and leave immediately. -

A law passed by the British parliament that all soldiers had to stay in barracks but if the barracks were full, soldiers could stay in homes and families must provide for them. -

The Townshend Acts were multiple acts passed by the British Parliament that tried to what it believed to be the historic right to exert authority over the 13 colonies that caused very strict provisions and it suspended the representative assembly. -
The Boston Massacre
The Boston Massacre was when British soldiers killed 5 american colonists because of rising tensions in the colonists. They were worried because american colonists had been growing and more of them had been arriving since the British troops came. -

The Boston Tea Party was when Samuel Adams and the Sons of Liberty got on a British ship and and threw 342 chests of tea off the ship and into the water. This act pushed the 2 sides closer to war -
