The chinese society was tired of their weak government, so in order to Westernized the nation and introduced democracy they decided to overthrow the Manchu Dynasty.

Yuan Shikai and Sun Yixian
Both made an agreemebt in which it was established that Yuan Shikai becomes the first president of the Republic of China and Sun Yixian the first provisional President -
GMD and the National Assembly
GMD won the majority of the National Assembly, Shikai saw this as a problem so he decided to dissolved the Prlament in 1914 -
Shikai Emperor
Shikai proclaimed himself emperor. He change the Republic into a Empire again. He said that he received mandate of heaven, to this period of time is called "The Grand Constitutional era" -
Revelions in China and the Twenty One Demands
GMD, General´s Yuan´s army and the military governors of the provinces reveal against Yuan Shikai.

Shikai Died
Shikai died of a stoke and the central government in Beijing collapsed.
Warlord era started and the GMD started gaining power. -
May 4th movement
It was a demosntration in Beijing organized by students and intelectuals.
The objective of this movement was to make a change in China and to rebirth China as a proud independent Nation.
It was inspired by revolutionary ideologies such as the Bolshevik Revolution.
Finally, the CCP was created as a result of this movement -
First Unite Front
It was a union between the GMD and the CCP, their objectives were freedom from imperialist powers and put an end to the warlords era.
They shared the third principle of the GMD "People´s Livelihood" -
GMD turn against Communist
Ones that the warlords were defeated, the GMD attacked the CCP and expelled all the communist from the party and then, the GMD massacred all the communist in Shangai.
Mao Zedong forces were obligated to scape to the mountains of Jianfxi.
