    during the purchace of louisiana purchase,congress wanted to compell a policy to guide the expansion of slavery into the new western territory. In addition congress reached a serious of arguments . The state of missouri was admitted as a slave state and maine was admitted as free state, trying to get balance. This lead to the civil war, becausesoutherners were angry for dividing north and south as free and slave.

    In the year of 1831 a slave named Nat Turner and 55 slaves spread through several plantations in southern virginia and killed around 60 white people. The virgina law makers reacted to the crisi by rolling back what few civil right slaves . The right to assemble was severely limited, which caused this to lead to the civil war.
