This principles, were statements that proposed Sun YIxian, that allow China to became a prosperus country, this was what people was looking for, so this is why there were well accepted, and make them think about what they want, they are: Nationalism, democracy, People´s livelihood -
Creation of GMD
The Nationalist Party of China, Kuomintang (KMT) or Guomindnag (GMD) emerged in 1912 with Sun Yixian, and was the major political party on that period. They were antocommunists and soviets provided them aid and assistance -
Manchu Dynasty end
After several loses that present China for different causes, the general Yuan Shikai, in ensemble with the republican powers abdicated Pu YI, the young last emperor, and mark the end of a more than 300 years old dynasty, leaving as a provisional republican government to Yuan Shikai. -
Warlord Era
After Yuan Shikai death there was no a popular leader in charge of China, the central government collapse and in some areas emerge the warlords, military governors who opposed Yuan and set up their own governments using their armies to enforce authority. -
May Fouth Movement
Intelectuals and students led a mass demonstration in Beijing against Warlords and Traditions. Was a protest against the Chinese response to the Treaty of Versailles and the political weakness of the period. -
Creation of CCP
This was emerged in 1921, lead by the dirigent Mao Zeodong and some other partcipant from the May Fourth Movement looking for an alternative on China´s political development. -
First United Front
The First United Front was an alliance conformed by the two political parties exisiting in China, that even though they have very different ideological ideas, they join for defeating a common enemy, the warlords. -
Northern Expedition
Campaign from Chinese Nationalist, aiming to unify the nation, they were helped by the soviets, they fight against warlords and impose in the regions they get,until they reach Beijing -
First United Front broke
Once thay the warlords were defeated, CCP and GMD start to spread looking for their own benefits an following his ideologies, they became the two fronts in Chinese Civil War -
Shangai Massacre
As mentioned before, GMD was an anoti-communist party, so in 1927, they attacked members of the CCP in Shangai. They were rounded up, arrested, and murdered. This is the event that mark the beginning of the Chinese Civil War
