Causes of the Chinese Civil War
Following a revolution in 1911 (which overthrew the Manchu Dynasty causing destabilitation), the new Republic failed and China continued to be exploited by foreign powers (such as European imperialists). -
Double Tenth Revolution
The Chinese Revolution was triggered not by the United League itself but by the army troops in Hubei who were urged on by the local revolutionary bodies not incorporated in the league. As i said previously, the common and major problem were the warlords, so both parties allied, the CCP and the GMD to get rid of them and also of the fragmentation of China, this movement resulted succesful and the warlords ceased to exist -

Jiang got control of Beijing, so according to his philosophy and the opposition, he turned against the communists, and that's how the war started
